| General Conditions
Colours and textures have been reproduced as closely as the web publishing process allows. Final selection should be made from actual samples.
All stone and brick products are strictly monitored for consistency in colour and texture; however, slight variations will occur between batches.
All stone and brick products must be installed using materials and techniques in accordance with the governing codes and regulations for each specific installation.
As per Section 9 of the National Building Code of Canada, masonry should be established at least 150mm (5 7/8 inch.) above grade.
Arriscraft recommends the use of a Portland cement-lime mortar only; proportioned to a 1:1:6 ratio, where 1 part Portland cement is mixed with 1 part hydrated lime (Type S) and 6 parts masonry sand. This is a Type N proportion specified mortar, as described in CSA A179 and ASTM C270.
Manufactured masonry materials are not recommended for use at or below grade or in areas where they will be exposed to de-icing compounds.
Clean all stone and brick products in strict accordance with Arriscraft's printed recommendations.
